Automating Weekly Client Reports with n8n, Claude AI, and Snowflake

The Problem

Although the agency had a strong data foundation—Tableau dashboards connected to Snowflake—their clients weren’t interacting with the dashboards as expected. Instead of clicking through charts, they wanted brief, readable updates in a format they were more comfortable with: emailed summaries. This meant the team had to export data manually from Tableau, copy it into Excel templates, write custom performance summaries for each client, and email them one by one. It was a tedious, repetitive workflow.

 

The Solution

To eliminate the manual grunt work, I built a fully automated reporting pipeline using n8n, Claude AI, and Snowflake. Now, the entire process—from data extraction to email delivery—runs on autopilot every Monday morning.

First, the workflow queries Snowflake directly to fetch weekly performance metrics for each client. No more logging into dashboards or downloading CSV files.

Once the data is collected, it’s sent to Claude AI, which generates client-friendly summaries that highlight what actually matters—like key wins, drops in performance, and campaign-specific insights. These summaries are formatted into clean, well-branded HTML reports tailored to each client’s goals and campaigns.

Finally, the system automatically emails each client their personalized report, maintaining consistent formatting and tone across the board.
